Legendary singer Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons rose to prominence during the 60s with timeless hits such as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “and “Walk Like a Man.” All these singles hit number 1 on the Mainstream charts and catapulted the group’s fame to new heights. The Four Seasons have released over 20 studio, and compilation albums, including the top 10 efforts, Sherry & 11 Others, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Twelve Others, Dawn (Go Away), and Rag Doll. Since their debut in 1962, the Four Seasons have sold over 100 million records worldwide. In 1990, the Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, followed by the Vocal Group Hall of Fame nine years later.
The Four Seasons lead singer Frankie Vallie has also released a number of wildly popular solo singles. In 1967, he released the platinum hit “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1974, Vallie released his first number-1 solo hit. “My Eyes Adored You.” Four years later, he dropped another number 1 song, “Grease.” The song was produced and released as a title song for the musical film, Grease.
