Hawaii! Honolulu! Aloha from all us mainland folk - how ya doing over there?! Before we get too drunk off the good times and memories we’ll have all summer long and we have to Carry You Home later tonight from the Shell - shouldn’t we see some of our favorite concerts and tours first?! Don’t you agree?? We feel the exact same way - we’re done with those Ordinary concerts and shows! Like, give us something real! Well, when Alex Warren hits the stage, just know that it’s gonna be a party!
Is going to a blissful concert with all your best friends a cure for the internal gloom cycle we all experience? Maybe…well probably not, but it sure is Cheaper Than Therapy - at least, that’s what Alex Warren is letting us know! And on Thursday August 14th, he brings his Cheaper Than Therapy World Tour to the stage here at Waikiki Shell for all of our listening and viewing pleasure.

The Tom Moffat Waikiki Shell - AKA The Shell - is located right on the coast of Honolulu, and serves as one of the premiere venues for experiencing some of the best music when it hits the island from the mainland - but also as an incubator for the local talent coming out of Hawaii to this day. Despite being an offshore venue not connected to the daily concert circuit of the mainland amphitheaters, The Shell has created an ethos of eclectic shows, performances, and live acts as they make it to the island - and has easily become one of the premiere venues to go to if you want to get that aloha vibe mixed in with your favorite artists as they take a break from the mainland. And with Alex coming to the stage this summer - we’re going to get that exact same energy! It’s a guarantee! Right here on Thursday August 14th, catch Alex as he takes on his 2025 Cheaper Than Therapy World Tour that has been hitting stages all across the world for the last few months - including having shows in Melbourne Australia, Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, Salt Lake City’s The Depot, Irving Plaza in New York City, The Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, Emo’s Austin over in Texas, The O2 in London, Dublin, and of course - right here in Honolulu at the Waikiki Shell for all of us to enjoy.
Alex is a rocket propelling towards the sun - or at least, that’s how his career has been since he popped on the scene back in 2019! A born star, the singer songwriter and media mogul first became popular with his TikTok group called Hype House that he began back in 2019 on the platform. Hype House was a creative collaboration where California early 20s year olds all lived in a mansion on the L.A. coast and created content with each other in hopes of propelling their careers into various creative markets - and by golly, it looks like it worked out for Alex. He signed to Atlantic Records in 2022, and his single Burning Down (ahead of his debut studio album last year) peaked at 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. His recent album also made a splash - hitting the top 20 on the Billboard 200, and already going gold less than a year later. From streaming to big stages - Alex has always found his way. And quite frankly, with his voice and chart topping numbers - we’re just excited to see where he goes next from here!
